If you run a nonprofit, it’s a mistake to think that your mission is enough to garner public support. Your work may be important, but the same can be said for countless other organizations. Even nonprofits need to invest in messaging and positioning. To give people a reason to donate to your cause, you need to tell your story.
Revive Life House is an addiction treatment and rehabilitation center, certainly a worthy cause. But how could they more effectively communicate their story and passion? By leading them through a brand messaging workshop, I was able to help them uncover and articulate the values and personality that sets Revive apart from other addiction centers.
From there, I managed their website redesign project, focusing not only on stronger aesthetics but also storytelling. Their new messaging helped us create a website and other deliverables that do more than describe their services; it now tells their story in a compelling way that is driving donations and offering hope to those struggling with addiction.
